MGM Grand Las Vegas Activities
At MGM Grand, you can do as much or as little as you like. Whether you’re here for a romantic getaway, wedding of your dreams or just for fun, we offer the finest amenities and attractions you’ll find in Las Vegas. If you prefer lounging with a cocktail at the beach, a day at the spa, or an afternoon of shopping or golf, you’ll find it here. There is never a shortage of things to do.
MGM Grand Pool
In the grand style of Metro Goldwyn Mayer, the MGM's pool is nothing short of extravagant. The greenery is perfectly manicured. The pools themselves boast names such as Director's, Producer's, the Academy, the Backlot and the Talent pool. And the five bars, one of them a margarita bar, are all easily accessible.
The Director's lawn frequently hosts talent events and luncheons; the pool itself is open to adults only. Three cabanas are located there, as well as 18 along the lazy river's route, and six at the Producer's pool. You'll also find plenty of changing areas and lockers on the property.
Amenities include water volleyball in the summer. Guests can also get a workout in the specially-designated lap lanes or can relax in the three jacuzzis or quarter-mile long lazy river.
Entertainment
Headliners such as Jimmy Buffet, Barbra Streisand, and Pearl Jam fill 17,157 seats in the Grand Garden Arena, which also serves as a venue for boxing and tennis matches, and for televised music-award shows. Other headliners such as Ann-Margaret and Tom Jones perform in the more intimate, 740-seat Hollywood Theatre.
Direct from Paris's renowned Crazy Horse and occupying a 340-seat theater that recreates the original, the La Femme French dance troupe presents nude-female beauty embellished by sensuous, textured lighting.
Housing up to six big cats, the Lion Habitat provides free shows daily, with an enormous glass cage separating guests from lions in a natural-appearing habitat of rocks, trees, and waterfalls. A see-through tunnel winds through the habitat, allowing visitors to be surrounded by lions.
Celebrities fly in just for a night at Tabu, an ultra-cool lounge. Guests in their sexiest clothes sip champagne and dance amid and atop contemporary furnishings that include low tables upon which video images are projected and can be altered by hand movements.
A more raucous crowd turns out at Studio 54, a three-story recreation of the famed New York City industrial-setting dance club. Dancers writhe on platforms at the entrance, symbolizing the action inside.
Located on Studio Walk, a 115,500-square-foot shopping promenade resembling a Hollywood sound stage, CBS Television City screens television-show pilots to gauge audience reaction, displays a futuristic digital home theater, and sells logo merchandise from popular shows and cable channels.
KÀ by Cirque du Soleil is an unprecedented theatrical event. A masterpiece in storytelling, KÀ uses acrobatic performances, the thrills and action of martial arts techniques from all over the world, plus innovations in puppetry and multimedia to tell the epic tale of twins on a perilous journey to fulfill their shared destiny.
Along the way, the twins confront characters and events representing the opposing forces of good and evil. Before their world comes under attack and collapses around them, the twins receive a magical talisman for protection. As the plot unfolds, danger lies in wait for them at every turn.
KÀ by Cirque du Soleil brings the visual language of cinema to a dazzling live event that is more about storytelling than any previous Cirque du Soleil production.
