Garden View Rooms

Garden View rooms come with either a king bed or two queen beds, and offer plenty of room to luxuriate at a spacious 460 square feet.

Bay View Rooms
Open your window shades and find yourself in the heart of the Italian Riviera. Bay View rooms overlook the hotel’s scenic Portofino Bay and picturesque harbor piazza. Every morning you can look out and watch the sun glittering off the sparkling water and its fleet of colorful fishing boats. Like the standard Garden View rooms, our Bay View rooms are 460 square feet, and give you a choice of a king or two queen beds.

Deluxe Rooms
Deluxe Rooms These elegantly appointed accommodations offer an even larger living space at 490 square feet, plus a stylish and roomy bathroom featuring a separate tub and shower. Deluxe rooms are available with a King or two double Queen beds, all rooms with two double queen beds have a pull-out sofa.

In addition to the extra comfort you'll enjoy a view of the serene Villa Pool and surrounding gardens, or the dramatic Roman aqueduct-styled Beach Pool.

The Story of Bice
The network of Bice restaurants spanning the world today began in 1926 in Milan. Beatrice Ruggeri – Bice to her family and friends – was known for her extraordinary hospitality and personal warmth. For years she was encouraged to open her "cucina" to the public. In 1926 she agreed, albeit reluctantly, and a neighborhood trattoria – loosely translated, a "friendly gathering place" – was opened. With Bice in the kitchen and her brothers and sisters serving in the dining room, il Ristorante Da Gino e Bice, or Bice as it would later be known, had a family feeling. Bice Ruggeri became a recognized Milanese restauranteur and her sons Remo and Roberto took steps to extend the vision throughout the globe.

Musica della Notte
Come and experience our daily show "Musica della Notte" (Music of the Night)! Each night at sunset Portofino Bay Hotel's Harbor Piazza will come alive with a musical celebration that captures the romance and charm of Italy and the allure of Mediterranean hospitality.

Musica della Notte showcases a unique blend of classic opera, romantic and festive music, along with 'popera' favorites - the wildly popular musical style that bridges the gap between pop and opera. Three themed shows will be offered on a rotating basis Romantico Night, Classico Night, and Italian Festival Night.

The activities begin nightly at sunset (weather permitting) with strolling musicians followed by show.

Bocce Ball Courts
Test your skill at one of the world's oldest lawn bowling games at Portofino Bay Hotel. Played between two players or two teams of up to four players on a team, bocce is played with 8 large balls, 4 of one color, 4 of another color, and one small target ball called the "Jack," or "Pallino."

Players seek to place their Bocce Balls nearer to the target jack than their opponent or displace the opponent's Bocce Ball and so improve the position of their Bocce Ball in relation to the Jack (Pallino). Bocce can be played in a variety of ways using various rules.

Dive-In Movies
Catch the “movie of the week” on a big screen poolside. Saturdays at dusk

Harbor Piazza
There are several piazzas throughout the resort, but the harbor piazza is the grandest of them all. Surrounding the sparkling Portofino Bay, you'll find cobblestone streets and sidewalk cafes, complete with Italian sports cars and Vespas parked by the harbor.

Jogging & Walking Paths
Whether you're a runner, a jogger, or a walker you can take a trip around the Universal Orlando Resort grounds. Stop by the concierge desk on your arrival and pick up a map for .45, 1.3 or 3 mile loop.

Poolside Activities
From ping pong tournaments to pool basketball to hula hoop contests and arts & crafts, you’ll find something fun to do poolside for the whole family. Check with the front desk upon your arrival to find out what’s going during your stay.

Campo Portofino
When Mom and Dad want to enjoy a night on the town, you can drop the kids off at the Campo Portofino® supervised children’s activity center.

Kids will enjoy play mats, an arts & crafts table, storybook corner, computer desks, a movie room, and more.

Counselors are trained to supervise toilet-trained children ages 4-14 only. One counselor for every 8-10 children.
